Riding on high rainfall days in a row, rainfall crossed 50 inch mark in Goa

Digital Goa, July 7 – With 79.6 mm average rain recorded in Goa in last 24 hours, the cumulative rainfall in the state has crossed 50 inch mark today while rain surplus has touched 9.8 percent. Total cumulative rainfall in Goa since June 1 this year is placed at 1271.6 mm (50.06 inch). Maximum rainfall in last 24 hours was recorded in Canacona i.e. 126.8 mm followed by 90.8 mm in Pernem. Other stations reported the following rainfall in the last 24 hours: Sanguem – 82.1 mm, Margao 81.3 mm, Mormugao – 47.6 mm, Pernem – 130.8 mm, Ponda 73.4 mm, Dabolim – 79.2 mm, Mapusa – 76.2 mm, Old Goa – 69.7 mm, Quepem – 80.8 mm, Valpoi -69 mm, and Sakhalim – 64.4 mm and Panaji 79.7.
