Digital Goa, Aug 12 – High Court has issued notices to the State government, Tourism Department, GCZMA, Calangute Panchayat, corresponding Ward Member and ZP member over alleged illegal destruction of beach vegetation on government-owned Tourism land at Calangute.The petition alleges that ecologically sensitive beach area has been cleared since July by uprooting trees, removing white sand and dumping debris, allegedly to create illegal road access.
