Digital Goa, August, 27 – Goa Human Rights Commission (GHRC) has flagged a sewage problem persisting at Colvale Central Jail since 2021, observing prima facie that PWD negligence and delay were affecting the human rights of inmates and jail staff.Acting on a complaint received in this regards, the GHRC issued notices to the Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Prisons and Principal Chief Engineer, PWD, seeking replies and directing them to appear on September 11. The Commission has asked the PWD to expedite the work.
