Digital Goa, Sept 7- High Court has directed the Goa State Wetland Authority (GSWA) and other authorities to file their affidavits within three weeks in a PIL challenging the notification dated 20 October 2022, which declared Bondvol Lake a protected water body under the Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules.During the hearing today, the GSWA informed the Court that it had been served and sought time to engage counsel. The court directed all authorities to submit their affidavits within three weeks, with advance copies to the petitioners’ counsel.The petitioners have been given a further week to file a rejoinder, if any. The matter will next be heard on October 14, 2026.
