Goa Chief Electoral Officer(CEO) Sanjay Goel said a report has been sought from the District Election Officer following a complaint alleging the unlawful transfer of over 50 voters from Curtorim to Fatorda constituency. “We are taking a report from the DEO, and only after it comes following field verification can I give further details,” Goel said. He was responding to the case related to complaint filed by GFP on October 16, alleging that the transfers reflected in the 2022 and 2026 electoral rolls were made without following delimitation rules. GFP had accused BJP of “vote chori” ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. Goel said further details would be shared after receipt of the inquiry report.
