The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) seized ₹13,070 in cash during surprise raids at the Mollem and Patradevi excise checkposts. Employees present at the two checkposts are being questioned over the cash. ₹10,570 cash was seized at Mollem and ₹2,500 at Patradevi. The raids are part Vigilance Awareness Week, being observed from October 26 to November 1. The raids also assume significance as videos allegedly showing border checkpost staff seeking money from drivers have surfaced repeatedly over the past several months.
