Digital Goa, Sept 12 – North Goa Sessions Court has sentenced 50-year-old Amit Das to life imprisonment and fine of Rs 1.10 lakh for murdering his wife at Kudchire, Bicholim in 2016. Das, a native of Assam had murdered his wife Helen Sarkar by strangulating over a petty fight. Incidentally, Das has also admitted to killing his first wife, Manideepa, at Anjuna beach a month before killing the second wife. The trial in that matter is also on in the court.
