Digital Goa, Sept 14- The major event that changed the political equation of Goa, in which eight Congress MLAs led by Ex CM Digambar Kamat defected to Ruling BJP, completed one year today. Congress party took out a rally in Margao today to condemn the action of their erstwhile MLAs Michael Lobo, his wife Delilah Lobo, Rajesh Phaldesai, Kedar Naik, Sankalp Amonkar, Aleixo Sequeira and Rudolf Fernandes. Due to this Congress was relegated to just 3 MLAs in the assembly. Congress workers shouted slogans “Ek do ek do, gaddaroko fek do” (Throw out the defectors) . GPCC President Amit Patkar said that 14 Sept, 2022 is a black day in Goa’s democracy. “These MLAs betrayed the mandate of the people for the sake of ministries and power. But, BJP has showed it’s true colours by not giving them promised ministries for last one year”, he said.
