Digital Goa, Sept 25 – Disgruntled shack operators met CM Pramod Sawant and Calangute MLA Michael Lobo today over issues with the newly announced Shack policy of Goa. The shack operators informed that CM has assured of resolving the issue by calling a meeting of all the stakeholders within next 2-3 days. They raised several issues such as increase in security deposit from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh, steel skeletal structures not being permitted, sewerage facility etc. The operators urged the govt to either rectify the new policy or revert back to the old policy which was in force from 2013 to 2023 and termed the old policy as ‘best policy’
