Digital Goa, Oct 9 – A 21-year-old Chhattisgarh native has been arrested by Mapusa police for allegedly raping a 31-year-old mentally challenged woman today. The accused identified as Vijay Kashmiri is presently residing at Gaunsawado, Mapusa. As per the complaint filed by the mother of the woman, the accused lured the woman with pan masala and raped her by forcefully confining her into a room. Police nabbed the accused within 2 hours of the complaint. Mapusa Police have registered cases under Cr. No. 185/2023 U/Sec 342, 376 (2)() (I) IPC , Sec 92-D of Right of Persons with Disabilities Act against the accused.
