Digital Goa, Nov 3 – Goa govt today announced new rates of toll fee and monthly passes for 18 ferry routes plying in the State of Goa. The new rate will be applicable from Nov 16.
As per the new rates which are uniform across all the routes, for two-wheelers will be charged Rs 10 per trip, while monthly pass for two-wheelers for unlimited trips is priced at Rs 150. For three wheelers and four wheelers rate per trip is Rs 40 and monthly pass is priced at Rs 600. For Medium Commercial Vehicle (MCV) and Motor Passenger Vehicle (MPV) rate per trip is Rs 100 and Rs 1500 for monthly pass. For Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV)/Heavy Passenger Vehicle (HPV) with driver with total weight less than 10 Tonnes the rate per trip is Rs 400 and Rs 6,000 for monthly pass. For Cargo the charges are Rs 50 per tonne. The new rates will be applicable on the following 18 ferry routes – Pomburpa- Chodan, Old Goa-Piedade, Camurlim-Tuem, Naroa-Diwar, Old Goa-Diwar, Volvoi-Surla, Panaji-Betim, Tolto-Dhauji, Cumbharjua-Gavandalim, Kerim-Terekhol, Ribandar-Chodant, St-Pedro-Diwar, Vashi-Amboi, Sarmanas-Tonaca, Rai-Shiroda, Adpai-Rassai, Rassaim-Durbhat, Madkai-Cortalim. River Navigation Minister Subhash Phal Dessai had said today morning that the CM Pramod Sawant will take a call on the ferry boat fare issue after considering opinion of the people.
