Digital Goa, Jan 9 –  Opposition has slammed the government for not extending the duration of the 4 day Assembly Session to be held from Jan 16 to Jan 19 and called the Business Advisory Committee(BAC) meeting a mere eyewash. The opposition had demanded extension of the session and a detailed discussion on Mhadei issue. Govt has said that Mhadei issue will be discussed on last day of the session i.e. Jan 19. Opposition had requested for a Private Members Day on Jan 20, even that request was not entertained by the govt. “This is completely undemocratic,” asserted LoP Yuri Alemao. How can a major issue like Mhadei be discussed in one day amidst all other businesses of the house, he questioned.

Meanwhile, Legislature Minister Nilesh Cabral said that the govt will call a meeting of all present and past legislators and MPs on Friday, Jan 20 to discuss over Mhadei issue.
