Digital Goa, Jan 12 – Domnic D’Souza, Pastor of Five Pillars Church, Sodiem-Siolim and his wife Joana Mascarenhas E D’Souza have moved the High Court to set aside exterment proceedings against them. The hearing in the matter is scheduled on Jan 19. Domnic appeared before the North Goa Collector today as per summons issued to him. “The matter is fixed for reply. This was the first appearance. Next hearing is scheduled on Jan 19,” informed Domnic’s counsel. North Goa SP Nidhin Valsan had on Jan 4 written to the North Goa district magistrate to start externment proceedings against Siolim-based pastor Domnic D’Souza and his wife Joan Mascarenhas for their alleged involvement in offences like magic remedies and hurting of religious sentiments. Police had asked government to extern Domnic from the state of Goa, and Joan from North Goa district, for “maximum period”
