Digital Goa, Feb 6- Govt will acquire 10 lakh sq mtr land at Rivona, Sanguem by spending approximately Rs 60 crore, the house was told by CM Sawant in a written reply in response to an unstarred question by Congress Leader Yuri Alemao. Govt has not done any Detailed Project Report(DPR) to ascertain the benefits of the proposed IIT Project to the state with respect to employment opportunities to the Goan youths, impact on environment and green cover, impact on demography of the state etc, the answer further stated. It shall be ensured that sufficient safeguards are adopted to minimize any adverse impact on the environment and existing green cover, the reply added.
