Digital Goa, April 19 – Air Traffic Control(ATC), INS Hansa Goa Airport reported that a strong laser beam was pointed towards the cockpit of the Aircraft during departure of aircraft from Dabolim. Pointing out that such high powered laser beams can lead to temporary blindness to the pilots leading to inadvertent hazardous situation, ATC has asked general public and tourist to refrain from doing such illegal activities for the safety of the aviation and smooth functioning. Such an act is also illegal and a punishable offence under the law, warned ATC.
