Permission granted for DLF and Bhutani Infra projects to be reviewed: TCP Minister

Sept 4- Permissions granted to the projects of real estate firms DLF and Bhutani Infra Project at Reis Magos and Savorfond, Sancoale respectively would be reviewed, informed TCP Minister Vishwajeet Rane. Locals as well as opposition have been opposing both the projects. Rane said that he has asked for review of all project related files and permissions. “If their work is being done as per rules and regulations we will honour them,” he said. He added that no construction work will be allowed till the review is done. He reiterated that his dept has not given any permission for hill cutting for over past 6 months. Rane was speaking to media persons after TCP Board meeting.
▪️ No hill cutting application to be processes till new guidelines are in place
The Minister also informed that no hill cutting applications will be processed till new stricter guidelines including hefty fines for illegalities come into effect.
▪️ Pomburpa hill to be notified as No Development Zone
All survey numbers at Pomburpa hill, which were mentioned by Aldona MLA Carlos Ferreira in the Assembly and where the hill cutting gradient is 20 % and above will be earmarked as No Development Zones, he informed.
▪️ Technology to be used to reverify mistakes in RP
Rane said he has directed his department to use technology like satellite imagery to reverify mistakes in Regional Plan.
▪️ Panchayats have right to withdraw construction permission of TCP approved projects
Putting the ball in the court of Panchayats to stop illegal constructions, Rane said even if TCP has given permission to any project, Panchayats have the right to stop work and withdraw permission of any project.
