Sept 11- Compensation to the tune of Rs 10 lakh will be paid to the families of 5 fishing trawler workers who died due to outbreak of vector borne diseases at Cutbona & Mobor jetties. Of these Rs 5 lakh will have to be paid by the boat owners while remaining Rs 5 lakh will be paid by the govt through the corpus fund, informed CM. Following the outbreak of the vector borne diseases and death of 5 workers, CM Pramod Sawant visited the Cutbona jetty along with Environment Minister Alexio Sequiera, local MLA Cruz Silva and other govt officials.
