Rajasthan gang nabbed from Ajmer with crores worth gold and silver stolen from Mapusa jeweller

Sept 27 – Four persons from Rajasthan including 2 minors were apprehended by Goa police along with 12 Kg silver and over 1 Kg gold from Ajmer, Rajasthan. The booty worth crores was stolen from Nasnodkar Jewellers at Mapusa market owned by Chandramohan Nasnodkar on Monday night. The adult accused identified as 26-year-old Harji Chauvhan from Mewar, Rajasthan and 18-year-old Bhavani Sigh have been arrested while the 2 minors have been lodged in protective home. Police nabbed the accused using CCTV footage. Incidentally, 2 of the accused who were found moving in suspicious condition at night were photographed by police on night patrol before the robbery. These photos helped the police reach to the the criminals. CCTV trail led the police to Thivim railway station. Photographs of the accused were flashed on all trains and they were eventually traced on Netravati Express. Police nabbed them from Ajmer along with stolen items. One of the 4 accused was earlier staying in Ponda, informed police.
