Uganda national woman held for overstaying bites and scratches 2 lady constables on duty

Oct 18- Uganda national lady has been booked by Mandrem Police for allegedly biting one on duty lady constable and scratching the other one with finger nails. The incident occurred on Wednesday when Uganda national Shinah Esterh was being escorted by the two lady constables from the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Pernem to the Central Jail, Colvale. Shinah was held for overstaying on Oct 5 and was remanded to Judicial custody. The fight allegedly occurred following claims by the Shinah that she should be taken to the foreigner detention center at Mapusa and not Colvale jail. A team from the Mandrem Police Station, during a patrol at Arambol Beach, had arrested the 24-year-old Ugandan national who was found to be residing illegally in a rented room in Arambol.
