Digital Goa, Feb 19 – First fatal accident was recorded on the Zuari Bridge today. Two-wheeler rider Rozario D’Souza (age 61 years) died after a rent-a-car dashed against his bike. Both the car and the two-wheeler were proceeding towards Panaji. The pillion rider lady has also been injured in the accident.
Approx one accident death reported per day since Jan 1, 2023
Fatal motor vehicle accidents have seen a steady rise this year with 46 road accident deaths reported in Goa since Jan 1,2023. Whopping 404 accidents have taken place in Goa just over one-and half month and 46 persons have succumbed. This amounts to nearly one death per day.
