Dec 6- PWD has issued final notices to 31 kiosk owners and all other encroachers in the area to vacate within 15 days the premises or plot of land falling under Right of Way (ROW) belonging to PWD, near Nerul bridge. PWD said that the directives have basis of the cognizance taken by The Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety which state that any kind of encroachment on ROW (Right of Way) needs to be removed by PWD.The encroachments have been termed as hindrances & nuisance to the motorists as well as the pedestrians by the referred committee, the public notice issued in this regards states. PWD also said that the road that abuts these stalls is a Major District Road(MDR) but is presently approximately 10 Mtrs wide and that there are plans to get the same widened to 25 Mtrs.
