Digital Goa, Nov 2 – A woman from Polem-Loliem village in Canacona has been accused of allegedly assaulting her 4-year-old adopted son, leaving him seriously injured. A complaint to this effect has been filed by villagers at the Canacona police station. They further claimed that the child was illegally adopted by the family through an agent. The child is undergoing treatment at GMC for injuries, stated the complaint. The woman’s husband is reportedly working abroad.
