Digital Goa, Jan 28 – The Goa cabinet on Wednesday approved the filling of 97 posts, including consultants, MTS and nurses, on a contractual basis at the Tuem Hospital, CM Pramod Sawant said. Cabinet also approved the appointment of a cosnultant for the hospital. The recruitment will be done on a contract basis for posts in the GMC as well as the Health Department until regular appointments are made through the Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC), Sawant added.
Tuem villagers had asked govt to refrain from inaugurating the hospital with incomplete facilities and services. Sawant asserted that the inauguration of Tuem Hospital will be held on February 2nd itself.
Other Key cabinet decisions
- Approval to fill 15 contractual posts of lecturers and assistant professors in the departments of Microbiology, Surgery and Ophthalmology at Goa Medical College.
- Creation of a new post of Deputy Captain of Ports in the Captain of Ports Department.
- Approval to fill SC, ST and OBC seats for postgraduate courses at Goa Medical College as per the roster system.
- Approval to transfer land belonging to the Art and Culture Department to the Health Department for the Tisk–Ponda medical project.
