Cabinet approves hike in income limit for compassionate appointment to Rs 5 lakh

    Digital Goa, July 12 – State Cabinet, in its meeting held today gave nod to increasing the annual income limit for availing the compassionate appointment scheme from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. The higher income limit will be applicable to all applications since April 1, 2017. As on date around 350 applications for compassionate appointment are pending before the Goa govt, informed CM Pramod Sawant. If a person dies while in government service, the next of kin of the deceased can apply for compassionate employment with the govt.

    ▪️ Transfer of 25,000 sq mtr land to NDRF
    State cabinet today approved transfer of 25,000 sq mtr govt land to National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). The NDRF is an elite Government of India force deployed to conduct rescue and relief operations during natural disasters. Goa govt has also earlier signed MoU with NDRF in Pune for raising a dedicated state disaster response force.
