Digital Goa, August 6 – Items worth approximately Rs 35 lakh were seized and 11 people were arrested by Crime Branch during a raid on onshore casino at Candolim, late night yesterday. The arrested individuals included players from Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka etc, a dealer, and a shift manager. They were caught red-handed playing the illegal live card game ‘Andhar Bahar’. All accused were later released on bail. Incidentally, Goa Forward MLA Vijai Sardesai had posted a video on social media yesterday illegal live gaming in 3 onshore casinos, which he pointed out was in direct violation of the law, which permits it only offshore.
