CM calls on Goans to wipe away the signs of the Portuguese rule and build new Goa

Digital Goa, June 6- After 60 years of independence at least we have to wipe away the signs of the Portuguese rule and embark on a new path, CM Pramod Sawant appealed to the people of the state today. He was speaking at the program at Betul fort organised to commemorate 350th Coronation Day of Maratha ruler Shivaji. “With the inspiration from Shivaji Maharaj, we are committed to wither away with the colonial remains and build new Goa,” he added. 2,500 sqr mtr land at Betul will be transferred from Custom dept to Archeology dept for creating a prototype of the fort and the fort will be notified as monument of archeological importance, he added.
