Digital Goa, May 25 – Water levels of 3 of the 6 dams in Goa have dropped down considerably, indicating that the state may have to brace for water shortage if rains get delayed further. As per WRD data on water levels of various dams as of yesterday, Anjunem dam has hardly 9 % water left while Panchawadi dam has only 5 % water. Salaulim Dam which supplies water to most of South Goa has 24 % water left. The water levels at the other three dams in Goa are comparatively better with Amthane dam having 52 % water , Gaunem 40 % and Chapoli 45 %. IMD has forecasted 4 days delay in arrival on monsoon in Kerala i.e. by June 4. Monsoons generally hit Goa 4 to 5 days after its onset in Kerala.
