Digital Goa, Sept 1 – The proposal to grant Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to Goa’s Gouly-Dhangar community is under consideration again, CM Pramod Sawant informed the Assembly today.Sawant said the State Government has managed to get a letter from the Union Tribal Affairs Minister yesterday confirming that the matter is under consideration and the process has restarted. Earlier this year, the Union Ministry had informed the Goa Government that the proposal had not found favour with the Registrar General of India (RGI) and was rejected.
