Digital Goa, May 11 – A fire broke out at a waste dump located on land owned by the Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) at Fatorda on Sunday. The site, situated near the swimming pool complex and earmarked for a proposed hockey ground, was engulfed in smoke following the blaze. Firefighters who initiated efforts to bring the fire under control were having difficulty in dousing the fire due to different types of highly flammable materials in the dump.
