Goa beaches closed for swimming and water sports with the onset of monsoon

    Digital Goa, June 11- Beaches in Goa will be closed for swimming and water sports in the monsoon months of June to September. On account of the monsoons and weather conditions which are expected to see heavy rain and high waves, red flags have been posted across all beaches which debar beachgoers from wading into the sea. Water sports activities has also been suspended on Goa’s beaches. Advisory issued by Drishti Marine life saving agency asks visitors to avoid rocky areas, cliffs and hills along the shoreline. Visitors have been advised not to venture onto the beach. Even wading into the waters is not advisable, the advisory asserts.
