Digital Goa, August 4 – Goa on Tuesday (Aug 4) commissioned its first Forensic Psychology Division and an e-Peshi (Nyay Shruti) video conferencing facility at the Directorate of Forensic Science, with CM Pramod Sawant stating that the move will strengthen criminal investigations and improve coordination with the judiciary.
The new division will enable the state to conduct narco-analysis, polygraph and other forensic psychological examinations within Goa, eliminating the need to send cases to Bengaluru or Gujarat. The department has also been equipped with a Polygraph System and a Voice Analyzer. Sawant also inaugurated the ₹41 lakh e-Peshi video conferencing facility for virtual court proceedings under the BNS.
