Goa govt’s decision to challenge tiger reserve order in Supreme Court condemned

Digital Goa, Aug 24 – Opposition growing to Goa govt’s decision to challenge High Court order directing Goa govt to declare tiger reserve in Mhadei wild life sanctuary. Save Mhadei, Save Goa Front and Congress party today took strong objection to the govt move of challenging high court order in Supreme Court by spending public money. “This is against Goa’s interest. Only land sharks from outside are hurt by this order and Goa govt is working as their agent”, Congress said. “Tiger reserve is the master key to protect Mhadei and Goa. Goa govt has no right to spend Rs 66 lakh per hearing of exchequer’s money on Supreme Court challenge. It is bounded duty of Goa govt to immediately declare tiger reserve as per the order of High Court”, Save Mhadei, Save Goa Front said.
