Digital Goa, Aug 28 – FIR has been registered at the Vasco Police Station against unknown accused for intentionally circulating the photos of the Deputy Sarpanch of Chicalim Panchayat and Minister Mavuin Godinho on the social media. The FIR has been filed based on complaint filed by Mauvin’s private secretary. The complaint states that Mauvin’s image has been defamed by “sending obscene message through electronic media i.e. Facebook and whatapp and further publishing on newspapers clipping article sighting irrelevant text having false and malicious content against the minister.” Also the minister has been abused with filthy words, the complaint adds. Offence under 500 (defamation) , 504(insulting someone intentionally) , 294 (uttering obscene words) of I.P.C & Sec 66- E (Publishing and transmitting images) , 66-F (cyber terrorism), 67, 67-A (publishing or transmitting of material containing sexually explicit act in electronic form) of IT Act.
