Digital Goa, Aug 29 – Goa has a huge number of cases pending before the Industrial Tribunal and majority are from Pharma companies, alleged AITUC leader Raju Mangueshkar. This could be one of the highest cases pending in the Industrial tribunal of any state, he said. Govt has done a grave injustice to workers by clamping Essential Services Maintenance Act(ESMA) on pharmaceutical sector of Goa. Hundreds of pharmaceutical employees have been sent to punishment posting outside Goa for fighting injustice, he said. Many profit making pharmaceutical companies barely pay minimum wages to their large number of employees, he charged.
