Digital Goa, May 2- ‘DeepTrace’, an AI-powered investigation app developed by the AI/ML Lab of Goa Police was launched by CM Pramod Sawant today. The app is designed to extract actionable intelligence from publicly available sources using basic identifiers like mobile numbers, vehicle registration, PAN, or email IDs. Calling it the first platform of its kind in India to be developed by a police-led AI/ML lab, Sawant—who also serves as the state’s Home Minister—said the app is set to transform the way investigations are conducted. DeepTrace has already been tested in several high-profile cases, including murders and robberies, and has shown strong results, according to police officials. The app is available to police departments across the country and can be accessed by officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) and above.
