Digital Goa, July 19 – Goa has recorded 7 cases of rape per month on an average in this year. As per statistics presented by CM Pramod Sawant to the House in a written reply today, state saw 43 rape cases in the first 6 months of the year from Jan 2023 to June 2023. Chargesheet has been filed in 20 of the cases. Incidentally, during this six month period state registered 119 cases of crimes against women- 43 rapes, 40 molestation cases, 24 kidnapping cases, 10 eve teasing cases and 2 cases under Immoral Traffic Prevention Act have been registered in Goa.
