Jan 22- State sees around 500 to 600 snakebite yearly, informed State Surveillance Officer IDSP DHS Goa, Dr Utkarsh Betodkar. He was speaking to media persons on the sideline of session for medical professionals on Snake Bite and its Management, organized by the Goa Board of Homoeopathy in partnership with the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP). Betodkar said that the state has initiated the process of collecting related data more actively through more effective surveillance, as part of nationwide initiative. The data will help the Health Dept initiate improved measures for snakebite management, he added.
