Digital Goa, Jan 8 – GTDC plans to redevelop its Mayem Residency into a high-end hotel and resort featuring wellness retreats, eco-tourism activities, and modern amenities. The project will include a 3-star or higher hotel with at least 30 rooms, suites, and cottages, wellness centers offering Yoga, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, and Spa services, a nature park with camping, hiking, bicycling, and ziplining, as well as lake-based activities like boating, canoeing, and kayaking. GTDC has invited e-tenders for the redevelopment, operations, and maintenance of the project on a private investment mode. The project is to be executed on a 30-year DBFOT model (extendable for another 30 years). Key conditions include employing at least 80% Goan workforce, providing GTDC 200 free room nights and 200 room nights at 50% discount annually, and capping visitor fees at Rs 50 for adults and Rs 25 for children.
