Jan 5 – One Haryana native man was arrested by Mandrem police for cheating a resort at Ashwem to the tune of Rs 2.09 lakh by fraudulently staying in the resort impersonating as high ranking Goa govt official. Mandrem police arrested Mirnank Singh, a resident of Faridabad, Haryana, for cheating Thalassa Beach Resort at Ashwem out of Rs 2.09 lakh. Singh allegedly stayed at the resort from January 2 to January 4, using a fake identity as a high-ranking Goa government official. He availed of the resort’s facilities but failed to pay the bill.
