High Court orders Status Quo in LLB Admission matters till Monday

Digital Goa, July 26 – High Court today ordered that status quo be maintained till Monday, July 31 as regards the Law College Admission. Students have been permitted to attend their classes as usual. The Court order came in the petition filed by V M Salgaonkar Law College students against the decision of Goa University(GU) to consider the BA LLB admission process as null and void. After the Inquiry Committee found truth in the allegations of favoritism and rigging in the BA LLB entrance test, registrar had issued a notification yesterday stating that the admissions granted to the candidates based on Goa Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) stands withdrawn. As the entrance exam was declared nuul and void, University had also announced retest on August 6.
