There has been lot of debate happening in Goa on corporal punishment ever since two primary teachers were arrested for mercilessly beating a 9 year old student at Camurlim. Education dept today issued circular to all schools to strictly ban any kind of corporal punishment in schools. We try to analyse the issue with our expert as to how serious is the issue and how to tackle it.
