Digital Goa, July 17 – Kala Rakhonn Mandd has warned of a large-scale agitation if the foundation stone for the long-pending Open Air Theatre at Kala Academy is not laid at the earliest. Marking the third anniversary of the collapse of the iconic Open Air Theatre’s roof on July 16, 2023 and its subsequent closing down, members of the organisation staged a symbolic protest by laying wreaths at the site. They alleged that the Kala Academy Chairman and Member Secretary had failed to honour assurances on the project and said the continued delay was hurting Goa’s cultural infrastructure. The organisation warned that it would intensify its agitation if the government fails to commence the project without further delay.
