Lok Sabha Polls: Paid holiday on April 26 for Karnataka and Maharashtra native voters working in Goa

    Digital Goa, April 16 –  Goa govt has declared Friday, April 26 as paid holiday for workers who are working in the State and are voters of border states of Karnataka and Maharashtra, in order to enable them to vote on the poll day in their respective states. A circular to this effect was issued by the govt today. The circular is applicable to industrial workers,  daily wage workers of the Government Departments and State Government Industrial Departments, commercial and industrial workers of private establishments, workers of all private establishments and daily wage/casual workers employed in any business, trade industrial undertakings or any other establishments. Government of Goa has already declared a paid holiday on Tuesday, 7th May, 2024 and same can be availed by the voters of Karnataka and Maharashtra  for voting at their 3rd phase, poll day on 7th May, 2024, the circular adds.
