Digital Goa, April 11 – Valpoi Police have arrested a 34-year-old man from Maharashtra for allegedly shooting and killing his companion during a wild animal hunting trip in Sattari, Goa.The accused, Abhijit Desai, a resident of Thadebhatla, Dodamarg in Maharashtra, fired a gunshot that struck Hemant Hirba Desai, a resident of Desaiwada, Advoi-Sattari, causing serious injuries that led to his death.The incident occurred on April 10 at around 9 pm while the duo was hunting in a cashew plantation in Fulasaryo, Advoi. Police have seized the firearm (used without a valid license), an empty cartridge, and a scooter.
