Digital Goa, Sep 2 – Mamlatdars will act as nodal officers for the Mhaje Ghar Yojana and resolve difficulties faced by applicants, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant told the Assembly today. Sawant gave the house an elaborate explanation related to implementation of the scheme, hurdles thereon and solutions proposed. For houses on Communidade land, Sawant said applicants can approach the Communidade Administrator if the attorney refuses to accept or sign an application. If the attorney fails to issue an NOC within 30 days, the Administrator’s NOC will be considered sufficient for regularisation. He said 98 such applications have already been cleared and ownership sanads issued. Sawant also said beneficiaries allotted land under the 20-Point Programme who have applied under Mhaje Ghar should not face demolition over house expansion while their applications are being processed. Their occupancy status will also be upgraded from Class II to Class I, recognising applicable ownership rights.
