Nov 27 – Margao Police have filed an FIR against Incharge of ESI Hospital, Margao Dr Vishwajeet Dessai for the death of a patient due to negligence. FIR was filed following the direction from JMFC Margao. Suraj Sawant from Ponda had complained that Dr Vishwajeet Desai acted negligently while treating the patient Sunayna Dessai from Xeldem, Quepem-Goa, thereby resulting into her death while undergoing minor surgery of left hand thumb arthritis. Prior to the registration matter was dealt to Medical Board at Goa Medical college and Hospital, Bambolim-Goa.
