Digital Goa, August 5 – MLA Viresh Borkar raised concern over under utilisation of funds under Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) by departments despite community needs. Tribal Welfare Dept itself has not used ₹69 crore allocated under TSP, he pointed out. Opposition MLA Vijai Sardesai added that TSP utilisation has never crossed 5.2% and highlighted that Scheduled Tribal areas are yet to be notified in Goa. CM Pramod Sawant claimed 82% utilisation under TSP—stating it’s the highest in the country. He went on to clarify that though funds aren’t directly booked under TSP, they are being used for tribal area-related works.
