Digital Goa, Feb 22 – Mormugao Planning and Development Authority (MPDA) continued partial demolition of houses falling within funnel zone of Dabolim airport today. Partial demolition of three more houses commenced today as per high court order. Residents expressed their resentment over the demolition because these residential houses had all the permissions including that of Navy. The affected people have also filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the High Court order and the first hearing was held recently. Meanwhile, Chicalim Sarpanch Kamala Prasad Yadav tendered his resignation as the member of MPDA to protest against the demolitions.
