Jan 29 – The Goa Cyber Crime Police have arrested Rahul Mishra, a resident of Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, in connection with a cyber fraud case involving Rs 1 crore extortion through impersonation and fake police complaints. Based on technical and financial analysis, a Cyber Crime team tracked and arrested the suspect in Uttar Pradesh. During interrogation, the accused was linked to seven other cyber fraud cases across multiple states, involving a total fraud of Rs 2.58 crore. Police recovered two mobile phones, a laptop, a tablet, and two hard disks. The accused is currently in police custody. This is the fifth arrest in this case.
