Digital Goa, June 19 – CM Pramod Sawant asserted that the decision to drop Govind Gaude from the state cabinet was his own. “It is decided by me,” Sawant told reporters when asked about Gaude’s removal from the ministry. Sawant however did not elaborate further on the reasons behind the move. Gaude, who held the Art and Culture and Sports portfolios, was dropped from cabinet yesterday.
Meanwhile, MGP president Deepak Dhavalikar declined to comment on Govind Gaude’s removal from the Goa cabinet saying, “This is an internal matter of the BJP, and I do not wish to comment on it.” Gaude had joined the BJP ahead of the 2022 Assembly elections and won the Priol seat by defeating Deepak.
